Keep track of how much experience you are gaining for each of the foes that you are taking on, and try to focus on the ones that are dealing out higher levels of experience otherwise you will simply be wasting your time.

3 - Questing is an important way to generate some serious experience as well. One of the best places to turn to for questing is Tortage. In Tortage, you can easily get to level 20 by alternating between night mode and day mode, and completing as many quests as you possibly can in each mode. Alternate between the two modes and take on every quest available to you, even the optional ones. You will score some excellent items and rewards including quite a bit of experience through this way.

4 - Alternate between questing and grinding through hoards of enemies for the best results. If you only quest, or only kill enemies, you will not see as much leveling as if you alternate between the two. Be patient, because while you can level quickly in this manner, level 80 is a little ways off and will take quite a bit of hacking and slashing to achieve.

With an open PVP environment, where anyone can attack you anywhere in the game, except while you're in town, it's best to make allies quickly, or you'll quickly lose your hard earned equipment.

In Everquest death was extremely annoying. If you died in Everquest, you would spawn back in town without any of your possessions, and in order to reclaim them, you would need to return to your corpse. If you didn't return to your corpse within a week, your corpse would disappear, and your items lost forever. Don't mistake this with a silly corpse run in World of Warcraft, as in order to reclaim your equipment in Everquest, you would need to physically run back to your body, and without any of your equipment, that can be incredibly difficult, and if you fell into a lava pit, good luck trying to get your corpse back, as you may need to spend an entire day trying to recover your body.

In the new age of MMORPGs it just doesn't feel rewarding to kill another player and there is simply no sense of loss when you get killed. In World of Warcraft, if you happen to die, you basically get a slap on the wrist, as the only thing you lose is a bit of durability on your equipment. You'll need to die 10 times for your equipment to get damaged enough to hurt your coin pouch, and you won't even lose any experience for dying. At least some anime inspired games like Maple Story and Fly For Fun incorporate a real penalty for death. In MapleStory when you get killed, you lose a good chunk of experience. It'll take you at least an hour to regain the lost experience.

A good penalty on death Is good for MMORPGs. In World of Warcraft, there really is no reason to be cautious while grinding as if you happen to die, it's nothing more than a slight annoyance. In MapleStory, players constantly carry hundreds of healing potions with them, as they'll do everything they can to avoid death. This sort of gameplay prevents players from acting irrationally and stupid, which can result in group wipes while raiding or just hunting as a group.

Atlas

You will probably find Atlas to be a crucial map mod that really should have been part of the game in the first place. For some curious reason, Blizzard doesn't have the instances mapped in Azeroth. Fortunately, Atlas solves this problem. It adds a map for every instance in World of Warcraft and it includes the boss locations too. There are also a variety of map pack plug-ins made for it so you can use those to add additional maps for things like dungeon locations, raid bosses (outdoors) and battlegrounds. This comes in extremely handy and you only have to install the ones that you need.

Cartographer

The Cartographer addon adds coordinates to Warcraft world map, but it also does a number of other cool things as well. You can use it to add notes, or change how the map looks with scale and transparency adjustments, etc. It also keeps track of herbs and minerals. In addition, it also shows unexplored locations on the map, which you may find pretty useful.

MobMap

Looking for lots of easy quest mobs? Then MobMap will prove indispensable. It adds the positions for all NPCs and the known mobs to your in-game map. MobMap also comes with quest and merchant databases. This map mod is also available in German.

QuestHelper

QuestHelper is another map mod that will help you out with questing. It adds all the waypoints for the quests in your quest log to your map and sorts them by shortest distance between quests in order to cut-down on how much walking you need to do between each quest. This will prove to be a real time saver.

MapMod v2 leveling addon

MapMod v2 is the only addon here that isn't free, but I'm including it because if you are interested in leveling fast, whether for Alliance or Horde, you are going to find it useful. It's made by the Team iDemise crew. Like Questhelper, it adds waypoints to the in-game map, but it does a lot more than that. It basically provides a leveling walk-through so you can just follow the arrows from one quest to the next. Also installed with it are step by step written instructions and hint and tips that are all accessible from both the Mini-map and the world map.

There are all kinds of new maladies being diagnosed due to this new addictive behavior and one of those is video game obsession. So what is the difference between a kid who just likes to play video games and one who is obsessed with the activity? That is what we will look at here; we will look at the signs of video game obsession and how to deal with it.

It isn't easy to identify the telltale signs that your teen is obsessed with playing video games, there is a fine line between just loving the activity and being obsessed with it. We really need to catch this in their early teens at the latest because children these days are very well versed and by the time the reach the age of 16 or so they may be able to out debate you on the issue. When you point out how much time they spend on the video games they may point to your time spent on the computer or your Blackberry or new iPhone.

Don't fall into this trap and allow your teen to rationalize their behavior, video games can be addictive and if children are given free reign they will allow the game play to take over everything else and you will find your child not caring about things that used to be important to them.

One of the first things you will notice in a child that is obsessed with video game play is that their grades will suffer. This is very similar to what is seen with a child that is into drugs. Miami is favored by 7 1/2 points with a total of 198.

In the nightcap at 10:35 ET, the Spurs are in Oakland to play the Warriors. San Antonio is tied with Dallas for the league's second-best record (36-10), while the Warriors have faded after a 12-6 start. The team is just 3-10 since January 1 (5-8 ATS) and since opening 8-3 at home, has gone just 4-9 SU and ATS. The Spurs are favored by 7 1/2 points with a total of 186 1/2.

Highlights from Wednesday's college hoops...No. 2 Duke edged No. 15 Boston College 83-81, No. 3 Memphis crushed Tulsa 84-61 and No. 7 Texas beat Missouri 66-53. No. 11 West Va edged Notre Dame 71-70, ending an 11-game losing streak to the Fighting Irish. ND is now 1-7 in Big East play, while West Va (7-0) remains that conferences lone unbeaten team in league play.

It should be noted that while there are no unbeaten teams or winless teams in Division I, there still remains 11 schools that are undefeated in conference play and eight schools that remain winless in league games. Bucknell (17-3 / 8-0) of the Patriot League is one of those unbeaten as the Bison beat Army last night, 67-54. Shocker of the night is reserved for Indiana State's upset of Southern Illinois in Carbondale. The Sycamores entered the game on an 11-game losing streak and were 16-point underdogs, yet won 63-54! Southern Illinois hadn't lost at home since January 2, 2004 and the Salukis' loss ends their home winning streak at 33 straight! Gonzaga and Illinois, both at home this weekend, have also won 33 straight home games.

Tonight's 35-game college schedule features two nationally televised games, No. 10 George Washington at Xavier (ESPN2 at 7:00 ET) and North Carolina at Maryland (ESPN at 7:00 ET)/ The Colonials, who moved into the top-10 on Monday for the first time since they were ranked No. 7 back in 1956(!), have lost NINE straight games at Xavier. The Musketeers are 9-1 at home this year and 74-11 at the five-year-old Cintas Center. Maybe that's why they are favored by 3 1/2 points (total is 146 1/2)?

North Carolina, last year's champs, enter just 12-5 after losing three of its last five games. Maryland, which lost its leading-scorer to academic suspension, is 14-2, including 12-1 at home. The Terps are favored by 3 1/2 points with a total of 158 1/2. Out in the Big West, Cal-Irvine is at Pacific (10:30 ET). This game is worthy of mention because the Anteaters are 8-0 in league play (one of those 11 unbeaten teams) but find themselves a 5 1/2-point underdog tonight in Stockton (total is 135).

You can place them wherever you like. Want a five-legged creature? The computer will figure out how to make him walk--you just figure out where to put everything!

As you progress through the game, the scope gets bigger and bigger. Soon you are on land foraging for supplies. Then you form tribes and do battle. Eventually you can build cities in a SimCity-like way. Then you can trade goods or make war with your neighboring cities. Eventually you can build a UFO and fly off to space to colonize and explore new worlds.

We're excited to see what this game brings to the table, as the Sim games have always been fun, but will this game be able to live up to the hype? We're a little nervous about the continually shifting release date, ourselves, and hope it doesn't shift much further.
