Guitar Hero - On Tour - Any Good?

Guitar Hero:On Tour is a fairly new game which recently reached our shelves and has had some pretty good feedback so far. What's it really like though?

Officially released on June 22, 2008, this game was of course made for the Nintendo DS and DS Lite and uses a four-fret grip that simulates the original guitar controller. Instead of the guitar controller, this little gem is played with a mini-fretboard called the Guitar Grip, for those who are not in the know. It goes without saying that this is a music video game based on the Guitar Hero series and is the first handheld version of the popular Guitar Hero music video games, and as said, uses a Guitar Grip peripheral attachment which comes with the box so as to recreate the console rhythm experience.

Guitar Hero: On Tour is something that few ever thought would make it to our shelves, but to be sure, it makes for an enjoyable experience, and captures the excellent gameplay of the rest of the series.

If you're a gamer who doesn't want to take the full Guitar Controller and your Nintendo Wii console wherever you go, this is the game for you, without a doubt.

All in all, this game is receiving some great feedback across the board and suits the handheld format wonderfully as it's such an exciting game - Guitar Hero on the move, played a bit differently, with more emphasis on picking than fretwork, but don't worry because fretwork is still a necessity.

Guitar Hero: On Tour will ultimately be a big surprise if you thought it wouldn't be up to scratch, as it works very well on the Nintendo DS and while the console versions are undoubtedly better, those who prefer portable gaming are getting a truly superb alternative with On Tour.

Rock and roll enjoyment on the go is what this game is all about and if you're a fan so far with previous games, you'll love this one.
